Sue
A. Cowling
Owner/Director
Sue was born
and raised in the heart of Nebraska by a single father,
a high school Math teacher, who instilled, in her, the values and importance
of education. She graduated from Kearney State College with degrees in
Elementary Education and Specific Learning Disabilities and
has experience teaching Pre-Kindergarten through 8th
grade levels in Nebraska, Arizona and California.
She is also a former director of the Sylvan Learning
Center. After teaching 2nd grade at Rio Vista
Elementary in 1998, Sue began tutoring privately in her home
before opening her tutoring center in 2007.

Peggy
Moore ~ Education Director/Credentialed Teacher
Peggy joins us from Apple Valley, CA. She has an
extensive background in many areas of education. She is a retired
teacher & Principal and has become a very respected part of our team.
Peggy is in charge of the Kindergarten Prep & Enrichment courses, but has
experience in all grade levels. She is available for Individualized Tutoring by appointment.

Deanna Brauer ~ Credentialed Teacher
Deanna Brauer is currently a stay at home mom and a
substitute teacher in the Santa Clarita Valley. She
holds a California Clear Multiple Subject Credential.
She also possesses a BA in Liberal Studies and an MA of
Education is Cross-Cultural Teaching. She has taught 2nd
grade, 3rd grade and 5th grade.
Before taking leave from teaching, she coached her math
team to two consecutive Math-a-Thon championships in her
district’s annual math competition. It is her love of
teaching that brought her here to SCV Tutors. |

Ivette Ramos-Ortega ~ Teacher
Ivette is our Math and
Science specialist. She has experience tutoring in all areas of Math
and Science, as well as SAT and other Test Prep, Spanish
and English. |

Sergio Marquez ~ Teacher
Sergio
is the Math and Chemistry tutor at SCV Tutors. He has 5 years of
tutoring experience in every grade level, primarily college and
high school. He currently attends College of the Canyons, where
he has earned and A.S. in Physical and Biological Sciences as
well as an A.S. in Transfer Studies. His goals are to get
into Medical School and become a successful health professional. |
