A Unique Kind of Summer Camp
Give Your Child a Chance to Make a Difference!

Santa Clarita has a new choice for your kids this summer.  It’s called Summer C.A.R.E., and it’s not like any other summer program! 

I’ve been a part of the education of hundreds of kids in the Santa Clarita Valley since founding SCV Tutors in 1998.  Each year, I dedicate my summers to prepare kids for the next school year.  This year, I decided to offer SCV Tutors’ first full day summer program.  I wanted us to be different from other summer ‘camps’, so after much research and planning, S.C.V. Tutors Academic & Enrichment Center’s Summer C.A.R.E. was born!

Our students will make a difference in the lives of others and the community by volunteering at places like the Ronald McDonald House, local retirement homes and the Placerita Nature Center. We will build Character by practicing Respect, Responsibility and good Citizenship.  A variety of Enrichment activities, such as Art, Science, Music, Dance, Martial Arts, and Chinese will also be available.  Each week students will visit places like the Aquarium, Science Center, Zoo and the Getty center.   All this, along with learning the academic skills needed to be successful in the next grade level, will give students a summer experience they will never forget!

We also offer ½ day Academic programs and individual classes taught by our incredible team of credentialed and highly qualified teachers.  Our Summer Bridge program, paired with fun Language Arts and Math Enrichment activities, make learning fun by adding Art, Science, games and more! Giving kids a head start, and teaching them organizational & study skills this summer, will build confidence and increase motivation to do well in school.

Kindergarten Prep is designed to prepare kids for the high standards they will experience in school, especially with the added full day Kindergarten classes next year.  Our Pre-K specialists are experts in making sure their students are a step ahead.

Will your child be starting Jr. High?  Be prepared for big changes! Jr. High is a whole different ball game, and the kids who are prepared will have a much better chance for success.  In all the years I’ve been tutoring, I get more calls from frustrated parents during the first few weeks of 7^th grade asking for help with Math!  Our Math specialists will focus on pre-viewing Algebra and teaching important Study Skills, giving students the confidence right from the start.

Last, but not least, our popular Writing Academy will give students the opportunity to express themselves on paper. They will practice different writing styles while sharing and speaking in front of others, which will build confidence and prepare them for upper grades. To make writing even more fun, they will write and edit for our center newspaper!
