THE FIELD TRIPS WERE THE BEST!
• I made “goop” at the California Science Center –Chris
• I thought the Jet Propulsion Lab was the best. –Ayden and Yonatan
• I got to be a giant ant at the Kidspace museum and I held a chicken at the Gentle Barn.–Ryan
• At the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library we learned about what happened in the world when
Reagan was president. It was really hands on!–Nick
DAILY ON-SITE ACTIVITIES
• My favorite parts were the creative writing assignments and writing for the Kids’ magazine.–
Brooke
• Even the academics were fun and lunches were good, too.–Sariah
• Hiking, swimming, and outdoor sports were what I enjoyed most.–Brandon
• On Girls’ Day we watched a good movie and did things girls enjoy!–Arielle
• On Boys’ Day we made up a game called Ninja Wars, we learned how to work together in
collaboration, and we ended with our own version of water palooza!–Ayden
• Serving as a Junior Counselor was a lot of fun and responsibility.–Jake, Nick, Chris, Brooke,
Taylor
• CAMPER OF THE WEEK was an honor because it showed how we grew in participation,
academics, spirit, and respect.—Jake, Yonaton, Taylor
REACHING OUT
• Even picking up trash to make our community look better was a good adventure. I also liked
visiting the Ronald McDonald House where we cleaned, gardened, and baked cookies for the
families with really sick kids who stayed there.–Isaiah
• I liked visiting the Senior Center. We took them homemade cookies that we packaged and
placemats that we made. And they liked us a lot, too!—J.J.
• CAMP C.A.R.E. was a great place to make friends and feel really close to the other
campers.—Brooke
